When It's Christmas
... and you're at your favorite Chinese restaurant
... where you wait for over an hour with a non sequential number and no beeper and you need to be close to the list even though the person who gave you the number is nowhere near the list but you need to be sure you hear when your number is called but there's a private party upstairs for 200 and half of them are blocking the door and the stairs and more importantly the list and you could wait at the bar but you can't order any drinks till they call your number and besides the bar is filled with empty glasses and the bartender is upstairs at the private party but the company is good and so is the food.
