Peter Rosenstein

Mr. Rosenstein graduated with a BA degree in political science and minor in education from CCNY in 1969 and received his MPA from Baruch College in 1978. He taught school in New York City; was Administrative Aide to Congresswoman Bella S. Abzug (D-NY); Citywide Coordinator of Local Government for the Mayor’s Office in New York City and Executive Director of the White House Conference on Handicapped Individuals/Implementation Unit in the Carter Administration. For 35 years Mr. Rosenstein was a CEO with non-profits in the areas of health and education.

Mr. Rosenstein worked on numerous political campaigns and served on the Board of numerous non-profit organizations. He chaired campaign Issues Committees for former DC Mayors’ Anthony Williams and Adrian Fenty; founded and serves as President of ARTS in ACTION, and was Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees of the University of the District of Columbia. He is a founder and President of the Campaign for All DC Families, the group that coordinated efforts for marriage equality in the District of Columbia; served on Whitman Walker Health’s Community Advisory Council; and was Chair of the Host Committee for the Chef’s Best dinner for Food and Friends for nine years. Rosenstein was a member of the LGBT National Policy Committee, Obama 08; the steering committee of “Q” Street; and member of the national finance committees Hillary Clinton for President and Biden/Harris.
