Watercolor Monotypes With Felicity

Learn how to create easy, colorful monotype prints using water soluble materials and a printing press on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Washington Printmakers Gallery.

You’ll be using watercolor paint, water soluble crayons, and washable markers to create images on a plexi glass sheet. Once the images are complete and dry, they will be run them through the press with a damp paper to lift the image and create a monotype print.

Felicity Shafer is an intern this summer at the Washington Printmakers Gallery, and a Fine Arts student at Moore College of Art and Design. 

This is an easy workshop open to any skill level.

Ages: 14 and older

Class size: 8 participants

Materials are included, you may want to bring an apron or wear old clothes

Masks are optional but not required.
