Sneak Peek at April's Inaugural Ball Fashion Shoot for NBC

Before you watch the segment this Saturday, January 12 (9:00 am weekend edition of NBC Washington), here's a peak behind the scenes of April Yvonne's Inaugural Ball fashion shoot with Angie Goff at the Ritz Carlton Georgetown.

Known for her impeccable and distinctive taste, April of MyDCStyle, is also the resident stylist at the new Capella hotel in Georgetown, and a fashion correspondent for The Georgetown Dish. April pulled the looks from Saks Fifth Avenue Tysons Galleria. Labels included some of April's favorites like Tadashi Shoji, Teri Jon, Badgley Mischka, BCBG Max Azria, Aidan Mattox and David Meister.

And the women's heels? All Jimmy Choo except one pair by Christian Louboutin. Clutches were Alexander McQueen, Reed Krakoff and Rebecca Minkoff.

For the boys, there was a blue tuxedo velvet jacket by Hugo Boss and a daring red tuxedo jacket by Armani. The Smoking Slippers - "a hot trend of the season" according to April - she pulled for the shoot were a rich blue with red stars "to add a little patriotic flare to the DC gentleman's look," were by Del Torro, as were the studded black pair. The classic tuxedo shoes were by Ferragamo.
