Seasons to undergo $1 million dollar renovation
Last Tuesday, the Four Seasons Hotel hosted a get together for area interior designers inviting them to offer ideas on a project in the making. For the first time since it’s opening, Seasons Restaurant will be doing a total renovation designed to give the space a refreshed look and feel.
The “Hard Hat” reception invited guests to write down their opinions and comments on the re-design of Seasons.
The catering team sampled items from the new menu to debut along with Seasons’ new look. Mini pot pies, Dijon mashed potatoes, and homemade tacos are just some of the savory treats to look forward to once Seasons makes its grand debut.
Executive Pastry Chef Charles Froke took the element of ‘renovation’ to the next level by creating a dessert that resembles materials one might see at a construction site. Little chocolate cakes in the shape of bricks are accompanied by a mortar-colored ice cream, topped off with a silver chocolate nail, and served in a mini bucket.
Construction will start in late December, and will be referred to as just “Seasons” when they re-open in February 2012. The million dollar renovation will reflect a graceful yet contemporary décor with natural materials and hand-crafted accents. Antique glass pillars, silk banquettes, stitched leather, and chocolate marble with black veins are just some of the design details guests should expect.
The overall project was designed by Michael Dalton, Vice President of Strategic Hotels & Resorts, and will be overseen by Hotel Project Manager Christopher Decre. Four Seasons’ own Director of Catering, Joseph Richter, also contributed to the design and layout aspects of the project.
While the look of Seasons will change after February, rest assured that the favorite tables will be available in the same locations, and served by the same familiar and friendly faces.
