Paulson loses $1m on Observatory Circle home

Former Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson sold his house in D.C.'s Woodley Park neighborhood for about $1 million less than he paid for it four years ago, Bloomberg News reports, citing city property records. Paulson’s home, on 32nd St. NW near Observatory Circle, sold for $3.25 million, according to Washington Fine Properties LLC. It was originally listed at $4.6 million. Paulson paid $4.3 million for the home in August 2006, Bloomberg said, serving as Treasury Secretary from 2006 to 2009. While Paulson earned $191,300 in his federal role, the former Goldman Sachs CEO's annual compensation in 2006 was reported as $16.4 million, and $37 million in 2005.Via Bloomberg
