Mayor announces parking ticket amnesty
Mayor Vincent Gray has announced an amnesty period on parking and other motor vehicles which started Monday. The 6-month program, which will run through January 27, 2012, will allow all ticket types (parking, moving and photo) issued prior to January 1, 2010 to be paid without the doubling penalty. DMV will maintain a website page (http://www.dmv.dc.gov/serv/ticket/ticketamnestyprogamquickfacts.shtm), which will be updated as necessary throughout the six-month period.
The DMV announced increased fees on a number of services, effective July 1.
