Julie's Holiday Gifts for the Table

Gifts for all the tables in your home, whether it's the coffee, kitchen or dining room, are perfect places to decorate this season. Don't forget the mantle and shelves. Here are some festive selections from some of my favorite Georgetown shops.

The Keith Lipert Gallery has unique gifts that would be the perfect addition to any coffee table. The items are of exceptional quality and are well priced. My favorite gift ideas from the Keith Lipert Gallery are: the Santa candles ($35-$45), the honey pot ($125), the Washington, D.C. ornaments, ($45 each) the blue man (set of three for $50), and the menorah ($365). *Note, the red part of the menorah that holds the candles can be removed so the piece can be displayed in the home all year long.

Dalton Pratt is another perfect place for gifts that are chic and affordable for any budget. My personal favorite was the Penhaligon Candle Set, which is $65, and includes the candle, matches, and the decorative box that can be reused.

Other great gifts from Dalton Pratt that would look great on any table are the decorative holiday napkins ($5-$7.50) and the gourmet candies and cookies that come perfectly wrapped ($7.50-$145).

The French Apartment is a one-stop shop for anything with a Parisian flare. The book, Parisian Chic is a great coffee table read ($30). Other items from The French Apartment include the candle in the reindeer box ($25), the reindeer ordainment ($12), the picture frame ($25), the button sized solid perfume (available in coconut and earl gray, $19.50 each), and the French Café side pillow ($35).

A Mano offers shoppers a great atmosphere with a large selection of gifts. The leather flasks are a perfect gift for men and are available in an assortment of colors ($135). Another unique gift is a wooden salad bowl with a decorative metal bird ($165). Also, to add an extra design element to table, A Mano has matches that come in decorative boxes for $5.

Moss & Co. has an amazing staff that can help any shopper find the perfect gift. My favorite thing about the store was the unique yet elegant items. Perfect for any coffee or side table are standing binoculars with tripod ($165) and a magnifying glass ($38). Also, ask to see the shell dish ($35) and shell spoon ($28)! Both sets of items are so unique and can add a personal touch to any home.

Comer & Co. is the right place to go for fine antiques and elegant pieces. One of the most beautiful pieces in the store was a gold decorated Hermes ashtray ($475). Even if you aren’t shopping for a smoker, it can easily be used as a dish or simply a decorative item. My other gift pick will set you back $650, but it is certainly a collectors item. The 19th century Caesar carved wood intaglio is well crafted and perfect for a collector with a larger budget.
