Puerto Rican born Taisha Estrada is a compelling songwriter and storyteller. Taisha engages audiences through her lyrics and dynamic stage performance. Her musical projects have been featured in The Washington Post and NPR’s Tiny Desk show, and she has performed at such venues as Blues Alley, Strathmore, Songbyrd and Union Stage. Taisha is releasing her debut album of original songs, Nostalgia Ajena (Foreign Nostalgia) in January 2023, reflecting her roots in Latin and Caribbean jazz. In addition to her solo project, Estrada creates and performs with two other bands, Outerloop and Attic Sessions. She has earned honors in the international Ella Fitzgerald vocal competition, and Downbeat magazine poll, Taisha was selected for the prestigious Strathmore Artist in Residence program after graduating from George Mason University.

Hailed as a “prodigiously gifted composer and virtuoso pianist,” James Fernando creates music that lies at the intersection of jazz, classical, and electronic music. He relies on his genre-expanding original compositions to deliver thought provoking and exciting performances on some of the world’s most renowned stages. The Berklee College of Music graduate has five albums to his name and has collaborated with award winning artists internationally. James is on faculty at Levine Music in Washington, D.C. and has served as a Strathmore Artist in Residence.
