Jackson Art Center Open Studios April 28
The artists of the Jackson Art Center will hold their Spring Open Studios, Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 12:00-5:00 pm. This semi-annual and very popular event enables the community to drop in on 30-plus local artists who make the Jackson Art Center their workspace.
Visitors enjoy complimentary refreshments and live music as they meander through artists’ studios and view works on paper, canvas and fabric, in oil, acrylic, pencil, and pastel, as well as photography, sculpture, ceramics and more. This spring our hallways and stairwells will feature a special gallery of works with a unique spring theme based on various artistic aspects of the color green--check it out!
The Jackson Art Center is located at 3050 R Street in a former D.C. public school building directly across from Montrose Park in the heart of Georgetown, Washington, DC. The Spring Open Studios event is free and open to the public.
