Hakan Ilhan to Open Brasserie Le Midi
Brasserie Liberté is getting a sister.
Celebrated DC restaurateur, Hakan Ilhan is opening a French brasserie and bar in the space formerly home to Capitol City Brewing Co., reports the Washington Business Journal.
“We’re excited to share some big news," Ilhan told The Georgetown Dish. "Brasserie Le Midi, sister restaurant to Brasserie Liberté, will be opening a brand new location in 1100 New York Avenue, NW, by the convention and Capital One Arena. Starting fall of 2026, you’ll be able to enjoy our signature dishes and warm hospitality in a whole new setting."
The 11,000 square foot restaurant space will be able to seat up to 300 guests inside, with outdoor patio space for an additional 65 customers.
