Gypsy Sally's Celebrates Grateful Dead
July 3rd and July 4th Gyspy Sally's is offering a fun and unique way to spend the 4th of July weekend! Rock & roll fans and those who would like to avoid the crowds on the Mall will enjoy the official simulcast of Fare Thee Well: Celebrating 50 years of The Grateful Dead with a live video cable broadcast of the Soldier Field shows in Chicago. They will offer drink specials and a great spot to catch the fireworks on the waterfront or the Key Bridge on the 4th.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Grateful Dead, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, and Bob Weir will reunite at Chicago’s Soldier Field, nearly 20 years to the day from the last Grateful Dead concert, which took place at the same venue.
On July 3rd, we will offer a special appearance by DC's own Grateful Dead tribute band, Beggars Tomb who will recreate accurate renditions of classic Grateful Dead tunes. Beggars Tomb will play before the simulcast, starting at 5:30pm. The performance is included in the ticket price.
On July 4th, Washington's fireworks display can be seen from the Georgetown waterfront and the Key Bridge. They are located on the Potomac, just next to the bridge. Guests can easily step outside to catch the fireworks and then come back to finish the simulcast.
