Florería Atlántico and Brasero Atlántico Now Open

Floral bar and restaurant debut in Georgetown.

Florería Atlántico and Brasero Atlántico, the first U.S. outpost of Buenos Aires' acclaimed Florería Atlántico: a cocktail bar/flower shop /wine boutique, is now open at 1066 Wisconsin Avenue NW.

It's a milestone moment for the internationally acclaimed team of Alex Resnik and world-renowned bartender Renato “Tato” Giovannoni, who first introduced Brasero in Buenos Aires before expanding to Barcelona, Bahrain, and now Washington, D.C.

“Brasero Atlántico is more than a restaurant—it’s a living story of migration, resilience, and the flavors that travel with people across oceans,” said Alex Resnik, co-founder. “To bring it to Washington, D.C., a city of history and diverse communities, is a dream fulfilled.”

“This is a concept born in Buenos Aires, carried across the Atlantic, and now rooted in Georgetown,” added Tato Giovannoni. “We’re honored to share Argentina’s immigrant spirit and culinary soul with a new audience.”

Brasero Atlántico celebrates the rustic culinary traditions of Argentina shaped by waves of immigration across the Atlantic. Its open-fire cooking, artisanal charcuterie, and prime cuts reflect the heritage of Italian, French, Spanish, Jewish, and Lebanese influences that together defined modern Argentine cuisine.

At the helm of Brasero Atlántico’s kitchen is Executive Chef Manuela Carbone, a Buenos Aires native and rising star in global gastronomy. Carbone brings deep expertise in Michelin-starred kitchens across three continents and a passion for open-fire cooking honed during her tenure in Sweden. Her menu at Brasero is a bold expression of Argentina’s immigrant-driven culinary identity, interpreted through a modern, sustainable lens.

The beverage program, designed in the spirit of Florería Atlántico, continues Giovannoni’s storytelling approach to cocktails.

Overseeing the fruiting and execution of this project is Rikka Johnson, a veteran of Michelin-starred operations and fine dining experiences across the U.S. Her leadership ensures a guest experience grounded in excellence, storytelling, and personalized service.
