Flor Opening in Georgetown

Wellness-driven café and book haven will blend Argentinian hospitality with mindful living.

Flor. Coffee + Books, a Buenos Aires-inspired café and bookshop, will officially open its doors on Monday, August 18th at 1220 31st Street in Georgetown, just above M Street.

At the Grand Opening on August 22nd from 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, the first 100 guests will receive free hot or iced coffee and a financier pastry, a $5 gift card for use on a future visit and 10% off all purchases of food or drinks.  A Tarot card reader will be onsite throughout the day, offering mini readings.

Created by international author Florencia Agrazo and her partner Marco Ferrario, Flor. Coffee + Books will offer specialty coffee, including their own coffee blend, Flower Power, from Georgetown’s Grace Street Coffee Roasters,  Argentinian and French pastries and soft serve from Dolcezza.  The menu will also highlight dishes made with fresh, locally sourced high quality ingredients, including vegetarian and gluten free options.  Florencia “Flor” Agrazo is the author of The Gratitude Notebook, a series of 90-day visualization and journaling guides for consciously creating your ideal life.  “I’ve always dreamed of creating a space where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and nourish both body and soul,” says Agrazo. “Flor. is the physical extension of my writing—a place for reflection, creativity, and community.”

At Flor. Coffee + Books, guests can browse a curated selection of books in English and Spanish—focused on self-care, art, travel, and spirituality—alongside interactive games, Tarot decks, and blind-date-with-a-book picks, designed to support emotional well-being. The spacious 28-seat two story space with an outdoor patio is designed for connection, quiet reflection, and meaningful conversation. A whimsical gratitude machine called The Appreciation Station will dispense gratitude prompts to inspire intention-setting and journaling.

Crafted by Chef Jovana Urriola, the menu includes offerings such as Argentinian empanadas, chipás, medialunas, sandwiches, toasts, bowls, salads, and pastries, along with hot and iced espresso drinks, matcha and chai lattes, and loose-leaf teas. Soft serve gelato from Dolcezza will also be available, as well as affogatos.

In the months to come, Flor. will host workshops, readings, meetups, and memberships, along with a few surprise offerings to spark curiosity and connection.
