together on Wednesday, February 24th at the Longview Gallery, as The Greater Washington Fashion Chamber of Commerce (GWFCC) and PINK JAMS!, a Washington, D.C. area project combining live music events, arts and fashion with the promotion of breast cancer awareness (specifically to men and women under the age of 40), presented a benefit fashion show featuring designer Betsey Johnson and fourteen of D.C.’s hottest designers. CharmCity Devils, named iTunes 2009 Rewind New Rock Band of the Year (Lead singer John Allen’s mother is a breast cancer survivor) performed for over 389 guests who witnessed live as models walked some 90 feet of pink-carpeted runway in signature pink designs created especially for this event by D.C.’s talented local designers,.

Immediately following the runway show, the pink designs will be auctioned off to attendees. Designs from Betsy Johnson followed the runway’s parade of pink. Betsey Johnson Rep Jane Roser was in attendance and the designer presented her good wishes in absentia via video.

“One of the special aspects of this event are the evening’s models,” says Christa Floresca, Founder of Pink Jams!, “These are real men and women - a few breast cancer survivors, and some of D.C.’s most recognizable faces and names. We are so pleased to have sparked such enthusiasm in the D.C. Community.”
