Wegman’s visit is sponsored by Georgetown Lombardi’s Arts & Humanities Program, which promotes an optimum life experience for patients, family members, and caregivers with activities, resources, education, and environments that encourage a creative and constructive response to illness.

Earlier in the day, Wegman will visit with children in the Georgetown Lombardi pediatric oncology unit to read from his new book “Flo & Wendell Explore.”

Wegman will present five photographs as a gift to the center dedicated to breast cancer survivor Emily Helck, who works with Wegman.

Several of Wegman’s books will be for sale at the event (to be signed by the artist) with proceeds benefiting the Georgetown Lombardi Arts and Humanities Program. All photographs in the exhibition are available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Arts and Humanities Program.

Georgetown Lombardi Atrium is located at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, 3800 Reservoir Rd. NW, Entrance 1.
