Enjoy a walking tour for America’s 250th & Georgetown’s 275th anniversary to explore the neighborhood's history of civic engagement.

Georgetown Heritage presents a three-part walking tour series exploring the neighborhood's long history of civic engagement. This series is in honor of two 2026 milestones: America's 250th and Georgetown's 275th.

Each tour will last approximately 90 minutes and cover approximately a mile and a half of walking distance. Check availability and purchase tickets here.

June 28 - M Street & Waterfront

This tour begins at the Old Stone House, the oldest remaining building in Washington DC. We will visit several important historic sites alond M Street, then explore the C&O Canal and end at Georgetown Waterfront Park.

July 26 - West Village

This tour begins at the Volta Bureua Building. From there we will explore Georgetown University and other sites on the west sode of Georgetown, ending at Francis Scott Key Memorial on M Street.
