Clear Space Theatre in Rehoboth Beach
A place for young actors to shine.
Let me introduce Caetano de Sá. He is an incredibly talented young actor. His resume reads; Height: 5’7 ½, Eyes: Brown, Voice part: Tenor G2 - C5, Build: Athletic. All very true. Then as his acting resume confirms, through the roles he has had, including being nominated for best leading performance in a musical, for Jersey Boys, Broadway World, Delaware; he is multi-talented; can act, sing, and dance. Then add to this he speaks Brazilian Portuguese, is certified in stage combat by The Society of American Fight Directors, and is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo.
I first met Caetano in 2024, when he was still in school, and starring as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys, at Clear Space Theatre, Rehoboth Beach. At the time he was a rising senior at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee BFA, Musical Theater program. I interviewed him afterseeing the show, and being blown away by his talent. Since then, I have followed his career. When I heard he was coming back to Clear Space for the summer, I reached out and said I would like to meet when he was back at the beach. Last week we sat down to chat at my favorite coffee shop at the beach, The Coffee Mill.

I knew Clear Space Theatre, which has been an invaluable addition to Rehoboth beach since it was founded in 2004, was planning a great summer season. Their lineup of shows includes The Cher Show, Mean Girls, and Pretty Woman. They always have great casts which include many college students who are getting their first chance to shine. That was the case for Caetano in 2024. Now he was coming back as a graduate, with more experience under his belt. He is cast as Sonny Bono, in their production of The Cher Show, Martin/Coach Carr, in Mean Girls, and Mr. Hollister in Pretty Woman. He told me he was excited to be back at the beach, and Clear Space, and is enjoying working with all his castmates. We talked about how his career was going, and what were some of the highlights. He told me he has performed in productions at the Prairie Repertory Theatre, the Emerald Coast Theatre Company, Firehouse Center for the Arts, and the Sullivan Rep, among others. In productions as diverse as Oklahoma!, Mystic Pizza, Hairspray, and Rock of Ages. He then told me he was excited about now living in New York City, where he moved after graduating, in August, 2025. He is living in Harlem, off of 125th Street. Clearly, New York is the perfect place for a young actor. When he told me he secured an agent at Bramante Artists, I asked him how that was working, and kidded if his agent, aside from getting him shows and cabaret gigs, will start getting him some TV commercials so he can make residuals. He surprised me when he told me he has already done his first commercial, and is featured in one for AFLAC. He has also performed at 54 Below, a great club in the City.
I look forward to continuing to follow Caetano’s career, which I am sure won’t just be in the theatre, but will include taking his talent to Hollywood, and the silver screen. He has everything it takes; incredible talent, a strong work ethic, good looks, and a great personality.
For those of you living at the beach, or planning a visit there, I urge you to head to Clear Space Theatre for a fun evening. Tickets for all their shows sell out fast, so I suggest you see what’s available online, and buy yours today.
