Boyden Gray and Martha Stewart for Acadia

Georgetowner C. Boyden Gray, Bush family confidante, joined media superstar Martha Stewart at her understated, mystical Northeast Harbor castle -- built by Edsel Ford -- for a landmark pre-fundraiser party for Friends of Acadia, the organization that supports Acadia National Park in Bar Harbor, Maine. The cultural magnate hosted David Rockefeller and other island stalwarts in support of the group that supports this 47,000-acre national park of mountains and ocean. This event raised $80,000 for the friends group -- setting them way ahead of goals despite the tough economy. "Any plans to visit Georgetown?" she was asked. "It's cute," she said nicely. 'Nuff said. Hey, Boyden's house deserves a visit, don't we think? It would be a "good thing." Research. Stewart escorted guests throughout her lovely house and showed the nonegenarian Rockefeller through her kitchen, including colored eggs and a 10-foot bulletin board full of ideas and invitations. Many of those. Friends of Acadia Chair Lili Pew, noting the fundraising record, thanked Martha and all the guests in attendance.
