BOTUS Pence Inks Deal

Bugs, Peter, and Roger, move over!

Marlon Bundo Pence, first bunny of the United States, is the main character in a forthcoming children’s book illustrated by second lady Karen Pence and written by Charlotte Pence, daughter of Karen and Vice President Mike Pence.

The book, with water color illustrations, is set to hit stores on March 19, 2018.

Mrs. Pence is a school teacher by profession and an advocate of art for children’s programs.

A portion of the book’s proceeds will be earmarked (bunny ears, of course) for charity. Regnery Publishing said in a press release that donations will go to an art therapy program at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health, Tracy's Kids, an art therapy for children with cancer, and A21, an organization dedicated to eradicating human trafficking.

Marlon Bundo is an Instagram star since taking up residence at the Pence’s home at the Naval Observatory. He has made official appearances with the Second Couple.

Says BOTUS (Bunny of the United States) in a press release: “In the book, I follow Grandpa (Pence) around all day, as a BOTUS should, while he goes about his duties as Vice President.”

A post on Instagram showed the bunny signing an agreement with his paw print. He has 15,000 followers.

Paw-print signings events will be scheduled .
