All Aboard the Arts: A Creative Tide Rises in Georgetown
At Georgetown Heritage's All Aboard Gala
With the long-awaited return of water to the C&O Canal on the horizon, Georgetown Heritage brought back their All Aboard Gala with this year’s focus being on the Arts. This wasn’t just a fundraiser; it was a vibrant declaration that Georgetown is far more than a premier destination for shopping and dining—it is a living, breathing canvas of history and culture.

For a decade, Georgetown Heritage has been on a mission to enliven and enrich our historic corridors. With their focus to the arts, the organization is doubling down on its goal: ensuring every visitor and local alike can peel back the layers of the neighborhood to discover its soulful heritage and creative future.

This isn't just about aesthetics; it's about building community, fostering civic pride, and invigorating the local economy through the transformative power of public art.

The Scene at the Mule Yard
Nearly 200 guests from across the District gathered under the "Big Tent" in the Mule Yard and the air hummed with creative energy. Local artists working en plein air greeted the crowd as live jazz provided a soundtrack to the festivities.

Master of Ceremonies, Tommy McFly, orchestrated remarks from Christiana Hanson, Jennifer Romm, Robin Davisson and Maggie Downing giving attendees an exclusive look at the future of Georgetown Heritage.

The night concluded on a sweet note, with guests departing into the evening with Yala Greek ice cream —the perfect finish to a night dedicated to the neighborhood's rising creative tide.
