2026 Call for Artists + Creative Collaborators
Georgetown Heritage Arts making Georgetown a destination for art.
By strengthening the neighborhood’s arts ecosystem, Georgetown Heritage seeks to make the community a dynamic, inclusive, and nationally recognized destination for public art and cultural experiences—celebrating its history, enlivening its public spaces, and honoring the people who shape it.
The Georgetown Heritage Arts & Culture Program invites artists and creative practitioners to submit conceptual proposals for temporary public art installations to take place in calendar year 2027 and beyond. Read more here.
This initiative aims to strengthen Georgetown’s cultural identity through thoughtful, site-specific public art, while creating opportunities for artists to engage meaningfully with one of Washington, DC’s most historic neighborhoods.
The growing program will include:
-
Public art, performing arts, fine art galleries, institutions, and arts education
-
Visual and performing artists, musicians, educators, cultural practitioners, and everyday creators
-
Festivals, performances, exhibitions, and community celebrations that bring people together
