Georgetown fashionistas will search out WINK
for the clothes of a spring season that promises to be bright and very bold. As I ducked into WINK’s basement location beneath the Steve Madden store, I thought it is time to put away my North Face parka and get into some intense colors.
WINK offers a variety of statement jewelry and unusual pieces that will dress up any outfit. If you are looking for unique dresses, WINK has them. Exposed zippers and floral patterns are just a few of the major trends you can find in this boutique. They carry basics such as 7 For All Mankind while introducing Georgetown to major names like Rebecca Taylor, Nocturne, Mint, and Jay Godfrey.

Hmmm...perhaps a bit of an overstatement. I think Georgetown fashionistas will still probably head to Friendship Heights for the likes of Saks and Bloomingdale's where the sales people actually know their products but still offer a number of "unique" dresses. I was condescendingly informed by one Wink sales person Friday evening that DVF doesn't make all that many wrap dresses anymore...seen the Spring line lately? Her signature dress still occupies an entire section of the DVF website.
