Legend-ary

It was a capitol evening at the recently renovated Dupont Hotel last night as Capitol File hosted its summer issue party at Café Dupont with issue cover personality John Legend as special guest.  

Some 500 guests converged on the Dupont Hotel’s Café Dupont to mingle, see and be seen and welcome the popular entertainer who arrived with his model girlfriend Christine Teigen. 

Guests circulated both inside and out.  The reception featured Grey Goose cocktails designed especially for the soiree, like the L’orange Summer Tea , along with a variety of passed hors d’oeuvres from Café Dupont’s kitchen and an Allen Brother’s grilling station.  

Legend wowed the crowd with few tracks from Wake Up, and his new single with the Roots, Wake Up, Everybody.

On hand were a plethora of photographers and journalists from Politico’s Kiki Ryan to the new team of the Examiner’s Yeas and nays, Katy Adams and Nikki Schwab.  Jeneice Vaughn, marketing and communications manager of the Dupont Hotel, PR guru Aba Bonny Kwawu, Mix 107.3’s Tommy McFly, Nichole Devolites of Conversa, Jim Ryan of the Las Vegas CVB,  Pop Chip’s Lauren Pomponio and Katherine Kennedy.
