After sunset on Thursday evening, The Art Museum of the Americas was lit up by the first Art After Dark—an event that brought out an eclectic group of party-goers each making their way through the labyrinth of displays, each in a different area of the building.

Guests mingled to live music sets by DJ Smudge, Adrian Parson's band Exactly, and improvisational electronic percussion from Argentina, played in the shadow of the Organization of American States building.  Artists from Latin America and video installations by Kathryn Cornelius, Rob Parrish took over wall spaces that usually display the building's paintings. The evening continued with an after party at George.

Guests included K Street Kate’s Kate Michael, Janine Schoonover, who is opening Serendipity 3 in the former Nathan’s space, Katy Adams and Nikki Schwab of the Examiner’s Yeas and Nays, premier law recruiter Matthew Schwartz of Garrison & Sisson, Donna Donella of Booz-Allen and Mel Davis of Citronelle, Central Michel Richard and the upcoming Michel at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner.
