Cross MacKenzie Gallery: Reception for Tamara Laird's "Paisley Monuments"   
Cross Mackenzie, Tamara LairdOn Saturday, February 26, from 5 to 7 p.m., the Cross MacKenzie Gallery (1054 31st Street, NW) is hosting a reception for DC artist Tamara Laird's "Paisley Monuments". An accomplished professional artist and professor at the Corcoran College of Art and Design, Laird's current work is based on the paisley motif, a pattern recognized for its reference to botanical imagery. Baked & Wired: Shannon Simmons Painting Exhibit

California native and local DC artist Shannon Simmons founded Artshe - "a state of mind and organization designed to help artistic women collaborate and create." Simmons is a natural artist with many talents including music, photography, painting, design and poetry.
