Ind Day Parade & Concert at Rose Park (CAG)

Celebrate Independence Day at the Monday, July 4 CAG (Citizens Association of Georgetown) concert inRose Park (26th & O Street, NW) featuring the popular Image Band. The All American, red, white and blue celebration kicks off at 4 p.m. with a patriotic parade. Meet at Rose Park basketball courts to decorate strollers, bikes scooters and even your dog in red, white and blue decorations and parade around the park. While listening to the Caribbean sounds of Image Band, join in the fun with patriotic crafts, an East vs. West side tug of war and a pie eating contest.

Sprinkles' (3015 M Street, NW) cupcakes will be available for all as well as Haagen Dazs' (3120 M Street, NW) ice cream cones.

Moser (3300 M Street, NW) DC showroom from July through September, join Susan Calloway Fine Arts (1643 Wisconsin Avenue, NW) and other art connoisseurs for Janet Fry Rogers' most recent work, Silver Reflections and New Drawings. Silver Reflections and New Drawings demonstrates the creative evolution of Rogers' use of oxidized silver and white gold leaf in combination with acrylic paint that creates reflective and dynamic compositions. As a counterpoint to the gold and silver works on view, Rogers' drawings of flowers and leaves emphasize the importance and simplicity of the formal qualities of line and shape. 202.965.4601

Tudor Place: Fourth of July Tea   

Enjoy a festive Independence Day tea complete with delicious sweet treats on Saturday, July 2 at 1 p.m. at Tudor Place (1644 31st Street, NW). Children will dress up in period costumes, make a special patriotic craft and learn to take tea from Martha Washington. Washington Harbour: Summer Calendar

Harbour Nights 2011All summer long, Washington Harbour (3000 K Street, NW) is the place to be with a jam-packed calendar of events. Harbour Nights are on Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. featuring live bands on the plaza. For our littlest Georgetowners, Harbour kids is every Tuesday, from 10:30 to 12 p.m., with music and activities for children by renowned performers, including Oh Susannah, Mr. Knick Knack and Mr. Don.
