'Selma' Free to D.C. Students

The March on Washington Film Festival has joined the #SelmaForStudents project to send public school students in Washington, D.C. to see Ava Duvernay’s Selma, the historical drama based on the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches.

This unprecedented effort has brought together D.C. Public Schools (DCPS) and business and non-profit leaders to ensure students have the chance to see this important film.

D.C. students in 8th through 12th grade can bring their student ID to the following theaters and receive a free ticket to the film:

  • AMC Loews Georgetown 14
  • AMC Magic Johnson Capital Center
  • Regal Bowie Stadium 14
  • Regal Gallery Place Stadium 14
  • AMC Mazza Gallerie
