Peabody Room Hosts Lucretia Mott History Talk Jan. 9

The Peabody Room on the third floor of the Georgetown Neighborhood Library will present a special history talk, Lucretia Mott: Speaking Quaker Truth to "Slave Power" on Saturday, January 2016 starting at 1:00 pm.

The event is free and open to the public.

Jaimie Stiehm, a Creators Syndicate columnist and contributor to USNEWS.com will discuss Lucretia Mott's journey to Washington DC to speak out against slavery ... the "peculiar institution."
