French academic, author, and historian Annie Cohen-Solal discusses her new book Mark Rothko: Toward the Light in the Chapel with Klaus Ottmann, Director of the Center for the Study of Modern Art and Curator at Large.

The book talk will be held March 12, 3015 at 7:00 pm at The Phillips Collection. Tickets are free but reservations are required.

Using archival materials no previous biographer had seen, Cohen-Solal paints an extraordinarily detailed portrait of Rothko—the man and the artist.
