Help Clean Up the Canal Saturday, March 26
The Georgetown Business Improvement District (BID) is looking for volunteers to help with the C&O Canal Clean Up Project! The National Park Service has temporarily drained the canal, providing the perfect opportunity to clean trash from the canal bed.They are calling for volunteers to help this Saturday, March 26, with Canal Clean Up. Tasks will include picking up trash and debris from the canal bed, and possibly painting. We will provide all necessary equipment, but come prepared to get dirty! There is still some water in the canal and the bed is very muddy so rain boots are a good idea.
