The DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities awarded the Georgetown BID with a Public Art Building Communities Grant for this year's Georgetown GLOW.

Now in its third season, the annual Georgetown GLOW is the region's only curated exhibition of public light art installations set against the historic backdrop of DC's oldest neighborhood.

Visitors are invited to re-imagine the season of light through public art with a 10-night to a month-long exhibition running from Friday, December 2 through Sunday, January 1, with works lit from 6:00 - 10:00 pm nightly.

The 2016 exhibition encourages contemplation of, and interaction with, the natural environment. Commissioned works of local, regional and international artists will be featured throughout Georgetown's commercial district, including along the historic C&O Canal, Grace Church and Wisconsin Avenue.
