East Coast Premiere of Wine Documentary at Georgetown's Letelier Theater Feb. 6

The American Grand Cru Society presents the east coast premiere of “From Obscurity to Excellence - The Story of the Grapes and Wines of the Russian River Valley" at the Letelier Theater Wednesday, February 6, 2013.

Meet the filmmaker Maurice (Joe) Nugent and Gregory Poirier, The Georgetown Dish's wine expert and founder of American Grand Cru Society.

The doors will open at 6:00 pm for a pre-screening toast featuring Russian River Valley wines including some California Grand Cru-nominated Pinot Noirs.

A short presentation and screening of the new documentary will start at 7:00 pm. Chronicling the struggles of Russian River Valley winemakers for respect, the film follows their journey to well-deserved recognition as world-class winemakers.
