A junior sized movie theater will screen the video version of the book and there will be a chance to win a Coco doll and Kiki & Coco in Paris book.
Kiki and Coco in Paris is a photographic journey of a girl and her doll in Paris. Stephanie Rausser’s images take the young reader deep in the cotton stuffed heart of Coco, a beautiful Jess Brown rag doll, as she twirls from the hand of her beloved girl, Kiki.
Brown began making dolls for her children eleven years ago by using old cashmere sweaters and antique remnants. Each doll is hand dyed in Persian black teas to create variations in skin tones. The dolls are made of cotton muslin and linen, and of primarily recycled and antique fabrics and findings. These dolls are created as limited edition collections.
Most recently, Jess Brown was commissioned by Italian designer Bottega Veneta to create life-sized dolls to display in their Beverly Hills, New York, Paris, London and Milan store windows for Fashion Week.
Jess Brown is also expanding her line to introduce women’s apparel and accessories based on antique clothing from her own private collection; introducing porcelain tea sets, large size quilts and home accessories.
