The Georgetown Garden Tour takes place Saturday, May 7 to celebrate some of Georgetown's unique private gardens. The Georgetown Garden Club promises a diverse tour with "wonderfully creative solutions to the many hallenges presented by the confines of urban living."

The Georgetown Garden Tour features architectural garden wonders
Christ Church, 31st and O Streets, NW will serve as headquarters for the tour. In addition to purchasing tickets at the Church, one may also peruse the unique Garden Boutique which will offer beautiful topiaries, fine porcelain vases, and unusual gardening tools for sale.

Early blooms
Proceeds from the tour go to the the preservation of historic parks and public spaces. Past beneficiaries include Book Hill, Georgetown Public Library, the Waterfront Park, Montrose Park, Rose Park, Trees for Georgetown, Volta Park Habitate Garden, and the Student Conservation Association at Dumbarton Oaks Park. Tickets are $30. before May 2.
