Join friends and neighbors Thursday for the Spirit of Georgetown party to benefit The Georgetown Ministry Center. GMC helps the homeless in our area by providing everything from a cup of coffee, showers and computer use to conflict resolution and case management.

It helps people like Hank, the homeless man Page Evans featured in her column in The Georgetown Dish this summer.

This year, the party will honor Page and Howard Smith for their many contributions to the Georgetown Ministry Center.

If you are interested in making a donation or attending the party, please visit www.spiritofgeorgetown.org or call 202-338-8301. The center is located at 1041 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20007.

Joe Ryan, GMC Board President

I encourage all readers to stop by GMC to witness the fantastic job they are doing under the leadership of Gunther Stern, Executive Director. Stay awhile and have a cup of coffee and connect with our "clubhouse" members.
All are welcome.
