Georgetown's Water Park

Not a days goes by since it opened that swimsuit-clad toddlers and small children aren't gleefully racing under the fountains at the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Water Street.

But apparently a few steps away lies a hidden danger. On Friday, a toddler was injured falling onto a nearby unmarked metal grate. Read more here.

Let's hope it's an isolated incident for Georgetown Waterfront Park, one that does not mar Georgetown's answer to an urban water park, for rollerbladers, bikers, sun-worshippers and tourists alike, a destination complete with Washington Harbour eateries and the Capital Crescent Trail.
