ForkingDeals, a Georgetown-based deal website is launching Thursday, April 14 at George starting at 10:00 pm.

Focused on food and beverage establishments in Georgetown, Foggy Bottom, Dupont Circle and Glover Park, ForkingDeals is keeping it local.

Statistics show that people spend 80% of their discretionary income within two miles of their homes. ForkingDeals is catering to that trend by providing incredible discounts for the area’s best restaurants, bars and food and wine retailers. They find the best deals in the neighborhood and offer them to their customers for less.

As president, Will Lee explains, "We offer three ForkingDeals a week, concentrating on what's current & convenient, and delivering those deals directly to your mailbox with the promise it will be something you and your friends will want to know about."

Everyone who signs up here before 6:00 pm on April 14 will receive a wristband for a FREE OPEN BAR from 10:00 - 11:00 pm.

George is located at 3251 Prospect Street.

Awesome! We clearly need one more Deal Website in DC. As much as I hit unsubscribe I still get daily emails from Groupon, Living Social, Buy with Me, Home Run, Bloomspot, So What's the Deal DC, and about 30 others...

You sure subscribe to a lot of those deal emails for someone who does not seem to like them.

As someone who has live in Georgetown for over ten years and has never done a Groupon type thing. I will sign up for this because I love to go out to eat and this could be a fun way to try some places outside of my usual haunts that are near by. But they better offer good restaurants or I will have to unsubscribe.

I love deals, living in my Glover Rat Hole and spending more than I make takes a toll on me. I am glad Willee noticed this and is taking advantage!
