Christian Dior opened its Washington DC boutique at CityCenterDC in December, and since then has been a sparkling gem in a new neighborhood filled with luxury retail shopping.

Inspired by Peter Marino, the interior is a modernized concept of Dior’s traditional worldwide flagship on Avenue Montaigne in Paris. The boutique layout includes three rooms on the first floor devoted to Dior’s range of products such as accessories, signature handbags and footwear. The ready-to-wear salon, located on the mezzanine level, is complete with a seating area. The second floor features an exclusive VIP salon that can be used for private appointments.

Dior commissioned several contemporary artists to design works of art for the boutique that reflect the codes of the house. These pieces include a Christopher Schanck bench at the entrance of the boutique in the accessories salon, a Pierre Charpin ‘Stump’ table, a Guillaume Piechaud ‘Aiguille’ chair, a Paola Navole cheese table and a Juan & Paloma Garrido blocks table located in the handbags salon. A video art wall by Yoram along the staircase leads up to the ready-to-wear salon featuring a Christophe Delcourt ‘Myx’ console, a Sebastian Brajkovic ‘Lathe’ low table, Dan Yeffet and Lucie Koldova ‘Wave’ stools and Christophe Delcourt ‘Iko’ side tables.

The new CityCenterDC boutique offers a modern shopping environment, reflecting Dior’s heritage of timeless elegance, luxury and innovation.
