Color Me Green!

Did you hear the one about?

An old Irishman was asked, “At your ripe age, what would you prefer to get… Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s?” The Irishman answered, “Definitely Parkinson’s……Better to spill half an ounce of whiskey than to forget where you keep the bottle!”

No one had any trouble finding the Whiskey at the St. Patrick’s Day Reception at the The Fairmont Hotel on the occasion of the visit of An Taoiseach (translation: Prime Minister) Enda Kenny T.D. hosted by Anne Anderson, The Ambassador of Ireland.“It’s my job is to introduce An Taoiseach this evening,” said Amb. Anne Anderson, “but of course An Taoiseach needs very little introduction. As you all know, he has been in office three years and over that three years he has presided over an enormous turn around in Ireland and I think there has been a sense from everybody that he has a steady hand on the tiller. These are still trying times, but you know what? Today when I was out there and seeing the sunshine coming through, I thought ‘that’s the attitude of Ireland.’ The sun is coming out, spring is on the way and that’s how we feel back in Ireland. We’ve been through a tough three year winter but the sun is coming out.”
