A sampling of a few of the dueling demonstrations planned:

"As we gear up for what is sure to be a historic election, come and learn about the hottest races we are targeting this year, receive Get Out The Vote (GOTV) materials and instruction from campaign professionals, and hear from some of the FreedomWorks PAC 'Champions of Freedom' that we have endorsed in targeted U.S Senate and House races around the country." C.L. Bryant, Rep. Michelle Bachmann and others...
Saturday: Glenn Beck's Restoring Honor Rally, 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. "Throughout history America has seen many great leaders and noteworthy citizens change her course. It is through their personal virtues and by their example that we are able to live as a free people. On August 28, come celebrate America by honoring our heroes, our heritage and our future. Join the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin and many more for this non-political event that pays tribute to America’s service personnel and other upstanding citizens who embody our nation’s founding principles of integrity, truth and honor. Our freedom is possible only if we remain virtuous. Help us restore the values that founded this great nation. On August, 28th, come join us in our pledge to restore honor at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington DC." The event is free of charge. No tickets or pre-registration required with the exception of buses. Buses loaded with participants are scheduled to arrive from dozens of states.
Also Saturday: Reclaim the Dream March/Rally (National Action Network), 11:00 a.m. "Reclaim the Dream and March on Saturday, August 28th in Washington, starting at Dunbar High School at 11 am. "National Action Network will mobilize progressive leaders, clergy, activists and 'Dream Keepers' for a mass rally. There are conservative groups and tea party members that are holding rallies the same day at the Lincoln Memorial and we want to show the world that THE DREAM LIVES ON. 47 years ago, the March on Washington took place where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his I Have a Dream speech at the March on Washington. 47 years later, Rev. Al Sharpton and the National Action Network invites you to reclaim the dream. We’ve made progress but our struggle still continues."
With all the First Amendment action planned, residents, visitors and commuters are advised to allow for additional travel time. Expect heavy usage of the mass transit systems in the District and changes in traffic patterns that may impact vehicular movement throughout the city.
