Leonsis Could Buy Wizards

$400 million is a lot of money. No wonder Ted Leonsis is asking for more time to make a decision to buy the Wizards. He is currently negotiating with the estate of Abe Pollin, with one deadline set for Wednesday. Leonsis, a Georgetown University graduate, who recently bought a condo in the West Village, has worked wonders for the Capitals, and fans hope he can do the same for the Wizards. Leonsis has first option to purchase the rest of Pollin's holdings, which was agreed upon when Leonsis purchased the Capitals in 1999. If the two parties cannot agree on a price, the sale of the team can be opened to other buyers. Read the rest here.
