outside Good Guys, the strip club, led to blocked traffic on Wisconsin Ave.
Friday during rush hour. Two men thrown out of the club next to Sushi Ko and south of Whole Foods re-entered the establishment, causing an altercation that became violent, spilling onto a busy sidewalk. Suspects pulled others out of the club onto the sidewalk along Wisconsin Ave. and began to beat one of them, causing injury. Pedestrians were stunned at the rush-hour crime, few helping at first. One of the men dragged out of Good Guys was bleeding badly from his head.
A fire truck (Engine 5 of Dent Place), four police cars, and an ambulance blocked northbound Wisconsin Ave. traffic for blocks south, as MPD checked the crime scene.
Last year, an Arizona trucker kicked out of Good Guys in November 2007 was sentenced to 30 years in prison after he allegedly returned to the club with a lighter and gasoline, setting a manager on fire. Prosecutors said the man was upset after being asked to leave the club for taking a picture of one of the dancers.
