I live in Washington, DC and work at HealthCentral. I am a graduate of The Gow School class '02 for which I attended for four years. Then I spent one year at American University and two years at Landmark College, which is in Putney, Vermont; and I completed the one year program at The New York Film Academy, where I studied directing and editing films. In order to graduate Gow we had to take a one week trip in the wilderness, which I did in the Adirondacks in the dead of winter. Then in 2005 I took a Nation Outdoor Leadership School, or NOLS, course, which involved one month kayaking in Alaska. We paddled a total of 212 miles, mostly in the rain and every once in awhile going over swells that were sometimes eight feet tall. There were also whales that would sometimes come right up to our kayaks. I gained a lot of independence and courage on that trip.
I am here to share my story of living with LD, and I hope you will share yours as well. Don't hesitate to ask any questions or share feedback and let me know how I can help make FriendsOfQuinn.com a valuable community and resource for you.
