Italian Embassy Hosts Sicilian Ball June 29

As you enter this incredible and beautiful Embassy, be transported to perhaps one of the most admired countries in Europe. Experience an Italian and Sicilian evening filled with Italian food, open bar, dancing, opera, film, and more.


This classic celebration has been one of the hottest tickets to attend in Italy for centuries. You are invited to dance as they do on the most elegant of dance floors and ballrooms of Palermo and in the streets of the Sicilian countryside.


All this - plus a portion of each ticket sale will benefit the American Cancer Society in memory of a former TTD staff member.

Summer Solstice at Georgetown Waterfront

Celebrate the official start of summer, International Yoga Day, and the longest day of the year on Friday, June 21 by joining your friends and neighbors for Summer Solstice at Georgetown’s Waterfront.


Presented by the Georgetown Business Improvement District in partnership with Athleta, the three-hour special edition of Georgetown Sunset Fitness (4:00 pm - 7:00 pm) includes yoga, prizes, giveaways, and post-event specials.

Wine and Wanderlust Beckons May 31

It’ll be adult sippy time with more than 100+ first-rate wines to pick from at a McLean Project for the Arts event Friday, May 31, from 7:00 to 10:00 pm at the Hyatt at Tysons Corner in Virginia.

The public is invited. Tickets, which are $100 each, include heavy appetizers.  There’ll be live jazz music.  

McLean Project for The Arts provides excellent art exhibitions, showcasing the work of established and emerging artists, as well as educational programs, art classes, a summer camp, and more.  Its ArtReach is a program serving students in grades K-12, seniors and individuals with special needs.
