Inspired by the Earth, Made by Hand

September 8, 2013

"My work is inspired by the warmth and beauty of the natural colors, intricate patterns and landscapes of the earth," says Helga Elli.

In a world full of mass-produced wares and stores flooded with cheap knock offs, it's refreshing to come across a line that's truly unique and entirely crafted by hand.

Such is the case with Adobe Trader Studio, a modern textile design workshop in the Washington, D.C. area creating unique textile art. All pieces are 100% hand crafted by the artist.

The patterns of decorative pillows, Adobe Trader Studio's signature item, are inspired by the beauty of nature, interpreted using rich, natural colors and patterns of the earth. All pieces are one-of-a kind and do not follow a pattern that can be reproduced en masse.

Even the stencils to create the intricate patterns are sourced  from nature, including plants, leaves, and herbs. The wooden print blocks are whistled by hand. Adobe Trader Studio also produces canvasses, linens, wall coverings and invites custom orders.
